How much does it cost to repair or replace the windshield on my Ford Escape?

No one wants to have to repair a chip or a crack in their Ford Escape windshield. Unfortunately, the day may come that you have no choice. Glass damage such as chips, cracks or dings is common on windshields here in the Valley, even for careful and responsible drivers.

So, if this happens to your Ford Escape, what are your options?

Option 1: Using Your Vehicle's Auto Insurance

Customer preferred - more than 80% of our customers go through their vehicle insurance.

💡Many Valley residents don't know this, but most auto insurance in our state covers glass damage. Many of our customers are able to use their insurance to cover the work on their vehicle's glass, which means they end up paying little to no money out of their own pocket! This is dependent on the specifics of the insurance policy, as well as the year and model of their vehicle.

Special offers are always available to insurance customers - from cash to deals with local companies.

Customers who use their insurance will also be eligible for the insurance special offers that we provide year-round! Speak to a member of our team today to learn more! Glass chips and cracks have a habit of getting worse very quickly, which can even compromise your vehicle's safety, so the earlier you can arrange a repair or replacement service for your Ford Escape the better.

Option 2: Paying out of Pocket for Your Service

Always Low Prices and Easy Payment Options

Besides insurance, the second option is to pay for the service on your Ford Escape windshield out of your own pocket. Customers with state-minimum insurance coverage will generally need to go this way since they won't have glass coverage on their policies, but some of our other customers choose this option simply for the convenience of not involving insurance.

Costs vary based on the year and model of your Escape, plus whether you need to simply get some damage repaired or a complete replacement.

Learn about the Ford Escape

A unique vehicle, the Escape was initially developed in partnership with Mazda. Both Ford and Mazda versions went on to much success.

While developing the Escape, Ford worked closely with the Japanese automotive manufacturers Mazda to create a compact crossover SUV which would be able to compete on the global market. The resulting cars from each manufacturer differed greatly in terms of specifications and engineering, but both achieved significant successes in their respective domestic zones.

The Ford Escape was launched in the US market in 2000, ahead of a full release for the 2001 model year. In its first full year of production, the Escape achieved over 164,000 sales in the US; a little over half the number of units that Ford was able to sell in 2015. This is a testament to the way in which the Escape has snowballed in popularity in its first decade and a half.

After three successful generations of Escapes, sales continue to grow and it is now a dominant player in the crossover SUV market.

The vehicle is now into its third generation, which is proving to be the most popular iteration to date. Within a year of its release in 2013, the revamped third-gen Escape barely missed out on the 300,000 annual sales mark. The Escape smashed this target the following year, and has remained comfortably above 300k per annum each year since.

Plenty of options for all possible customers means the Escape is well-positioned to continue its wide appeal.

Available in three powertrain versions - both a 2.3 and a 2.5l i4 option are available, as well as a 3.0l V6 option - the Escape has so far shown that it has the versatility to dominate the crossover SUV market. What happens next remains to be seen, but Ford has to be pleased with the Escape's success.
